| RADIO FREQUENCY |
|
This technology is based on the particularity of the dielectric ( insulating
) materials like water, that when is put in an electrical field, its molecules
have a polarization which means a deformation and an orientation according to
electrical field.
If field is alternated ( oscillating
), the direction of the polarization inverts at each inversion
of electrical
field. Molecules of water have to move with the same frequency
of field and so there is a dissipation of energy due to
inter molecular friction : this energy represents what
is named dielectric loss.
These molecules transform themselves into heat and increase
the water’s temperature allowing passage into steam
which is discharged in ambient.
Higher are the oscillations, bigger will be the absorbed
power from material; this is the reason why radio frequency
which allows 27 millions of inversions per second is used.

| Risk of fire: |
Most of the radio frequency dryers
presents a high risk of fire.

| Power of density: |
The power density is an important
factor on RF dryers. Our long experience thought us what
is the best power density to use for each product to
dry in order to have the best possible final quality.
The range of power density of our RF dryers for textile
industry is from 2 kw/m2 (stockings, panty hoses) to
20 kw/m2 ( cotton, viscose bobbins).

| RF generators: |
The RF generators, of our production,
have been designed and manufactured especially for the
necessities of the textile industry (humid and dusty
environment)
The generators are cavity type and are the best on
the world market. The high quality factor (Q) of our
generators (higher than traditional generators with
concentrated components)
insures higher efficiency, stability of the frequency
within norms limits and reduces to the minimum the
level of electromagnetic interference. The generators
are cooled
with air or water according
to the application and climatic conditions.
Available
powers are from 05 to 100 kW per unit.
In 1990 RF SYSTEMS is the first company to design and
manufacture an high power (85 kW) air cooled generator
and shortly become the main manufacturer of air cooled
radio frequency dryers. This supremacy will be consolidated
after 5 years with the innovative 100 kW generators which
is still the most
powerful existing generator.

| Electrodes
systems: |
Our electrode, which is the synthesis
of the best existing solutions, is one single rectangular
element composed of aluminium bars with uniform tension’s
profile.
This electrode is mobile and, compared to traditional
systems with fixed electrode, allows more drying flexibility
with more efficiency in transferring the optimal and
needed power on the product to be dried.
The power regulation is obtained by the variation of
the distance between the two electrodes. Only for special
applications with product with fixed dimensional characteristics (for example
stripes or fabric),
RF SYSTEMS offers a fixed electrode with power regulation
obtained by a variable capacity’s coupling circuit.
